2. Cleaning the joints with a stiff wire brush.

4. Tuckpointing or repointing with a mortar that matches the original (especially important for historic walls).
5. Replacing damaged bricks and properly curing the mortar.

⚠️ Important: For spalling or structural cracks, professional assessment is crucial. Using the wrong mortar—especially on heritage brickwork—can do more harm than good.
